Henan float with a ‘heart’ of Yutong bus
After receiving the task of making float given by the Provincial Department of Culture in mid-May, Yutong immediately set up a float design and production team consisting of picked personnel from technology, production and procurement systems and personally headed by Mr. Tang, the president of Yutong Group. Till mid-June, the main engineering of float body has basically finished. Then Yutong’s post-doctoral workstation conducted CAE analysis for the initial modeling and made suggestions on the structural optimization of key positions, thus ensuring the body strength. On Jul. 22, the installation and commissioning of float body has been completed, which was 21 days earlier than the required deadline stipulated by the Organizing Committee. “Among all the collaborators we’ve ever worked with in fabricating floats, Yutong is one who ensures the progress best,” said a responsible official from Provincial Department of Culture surprisedly.
On the basis of Yutong’s sophisticated chassis, the bearing capacity of the float has been increased, incorporating a powerful engine with good low-speed stability and 9-gear transmission. Taking ergonomic concept into consideration, there are spacious and comfortable spaces for both passengers and drivers. In order to reduce drivers’ fatigue, an infrared driver massage chairs and air-conditioning system are equipped. For passengers, water dispenser and toilet are available. To ensure the safety and reliability of tripod lifting, two separate lifting systems of manual and electric hydraulic lifting were adopted which can be assembled and disassembled within only half an hour.
It is learned that there were over 1,000 Yutong buses serving the event for the purpose of transporting the soldiers, students and mass paraders. To ensure the smooth operation of all Yutong buses during this period, an after-sales service team of 12 persons specially for the event was established. Through many effective measures like driving skill training course, increase of components reserve and round-the-clock bus inspection, they successfully completed the mission and achieved the goal of ‘zero failure’.
