Another Yutong new energy project listed in National 863 Program
Recently, the project of Electric Vehicle Technology Research and Demonstration for New Business Model proposed by Yutong was listed in High Technology Research and Development Program (863 Program) of Ministry of Science and Technology. Following the project of Plug-in Hybrid City Bus Industrialized Technology Research, Yutong was once again listed in the 863 Program, showcasing the undoubted leading technical strength in China’s bus industry.
Based on the full life cycle cost of electric buses, the project of Electric Vehicle Technology Research and Demonstration for New Business Model focuses on the research of electric bus technology for new business model, explores the new business model, forms the core competitiveness of electric buses, effectively promotes the market-oriented application of electric buses, reduces the emission of air pollutant and improves the air quality of urban areas.
During the project of Plug-in Hybrid City Bus Industrialized Technology Research, Yutong has developed a number of unique technologies in China’s bus industry, such as IST (Intelligent Start-and-stop Technology) of engine, efficient electro-hydraulic power steering system and so on, thus staying in a leading position in terms of whole vehicle’s safety, reliability and economy.
Yutong’s personnel for the development of new energy vehicles also saw the considerable progress and formed a R&D team with the most powerful strength in China’s bus industry consisting of a host of doctors and masters. This team will ensure the smooth progress of Yutong’s different projects on new energy technology research.
